Kitchenaid Dishwasher leaking from overfill protection aid, underneath washer

My dishwasher is 7 years old, and started leaking from underneath at the stem of the overfill protection aid.  I've always used the same liquid dishwasher detergent and haven't changed the water pressure, so I don't believe it is that I need to go to tablet detergents or lower the water pressure as advised on the site to others.  What should I do?

That stem you are referring to is attached to a float inside the bottom of dishwasher tub.  The float rises as water comes in.  The float stem rests on a switch which will shut the water off when the float rises to a certain point preventing water to overflow.....if water is leaking down the stem then your switch isn't working or the float is stuck in the down position.  Try pulling up on the float and see if it's stuck.  Sometimes you have to clean out where the stem goes thru the tub.

Do they sell the switch to replace?  The overfill protection aid is not stuck in the down position, I checked that.  the model number is KUDP01ilBT2.
