Most whirlypool models use a standard 8 hour run and 21 minute defrost. One year brainiacs decided instead of running the motor constantly for 8 hour before the 21 minute defrost they would improve that by only advancing the motor whenever the compressor was running. Ahah! Therefore you must select the correct leg to attach the motor to so that the icebox's timer will advance correctly. Their is more. That particular compressor run model MUST be properly grounded so adding a further wire to get that puppy OUT of defrost cycle is required, because when she makes the jump to light speed, the timer motor looses a leg. OOPz.
