Magnetron bad for 3rd time in Kitchenaid superba

The mangetron in my KBHC109Jss has gone out again, for the third time. It's 7 yrs old. I'm wanting to get it fixed, but I'm wondering if there's something else that is causing the magnetron to go bad. It seems like it should last more than 2-3 yrs. Thanks.

have you checked the wave guide of and carbon marks or spots that could gap the waves?  also is the tub of magnetron damaged.. or shorted?

I can't see anything obvious. I'm not sure how to check the carbon marks.

Could there be damage to something besides the magnetron that causes it to fail?

Small round mirror, kinda like a dentist's, with a telescoping handle and a flashlight. Take off the wave guide cover and with the flash and mirror look for black marks inside.  Also, when you pull the old mag look into the guide from that end and inspect the end of the mag for soot/carbon.  What do you use to check for leaks, or are you having this done by a tech?

is there damage to the magnetron tube ? use a strong light and small mirror and check inside the wave guide for any marks ... I alway change the diode with the magnetron   let me know what you find...
