Maytag MDBTT60AWW dishwasher.

Hi,
My dishwasher will not drain the water out of the bottom.
How do I take it apart what should I look for?

Is the dishwasher just dead with water sitting in it or does it sound like its running and trying to pump out when you try it?

If it sounds like it is running and trying to pump the water out then I would check the drain hose to make sure it is not plugged up.

I took the drain hose off, and run some water through it.
It looked ok, but when I put it back on I noticed the part of the garbage disposal that the dishwasher drain hose connects to had a plug in it.

We just had the disposal replaced a couple day's ago. I knocked the plug out of the disposal and the dishwasher drains again!
