New coil kit whirlpool gas Dryer

Told my friend to buy a New admiral Gas Dryer that needed to be convert to propane .Had the kit on truck. Change a lot over 30 years in business.Part number for kit 49572 Model Dryer AGD4475TQ2 .Lint filter on top no  problem done ton,s of them.Took out drum then found new style Black coil kit Part#W10328463.The gas valve is different to.Then found no Regulator vent cap to remove to install the new propane cap.Went on internet to look up conversion kit to find part # It said # was 49572A.Also said you could use 49572.After a while and using my 58 year old brain.I said to my self.Maybe you just change the orifice No. 54.And that was what i did.Just wanted to tell you about the new valve Design.Old # was 289834.It had a nice Blue Flame.And the new black coil kit is one piece at about 40 dollars wholesale.

 If you look at the regulator on the valve from the top,you will see a LP and NAT stamped on it. I use a pair of snap ring pliers and push and turn . That is the way to change the regulator to LP.

The old stove guy. The book had no instruction how to convert this new valve so i guess u done this before on the new valve.I had a nice blue flame.maybe should  go back and look at regulator.

I would change the regulator absolutely. The first one drove me nuts. Took the whole valve out and then I saw it. Even the instructions given by the Big Box store with the LP kit didn't tell you what to do. It was the wrong kit, but in the right kit all that is included is the orifice.

i see no reason to change regulator on this 2 day old dryer.I did not see any L.P or NAT on Regulator.Just change orifice and put back together and got nice blue flame.There is not anything on internet on this new style gas valve.The color of flame seems perfect.Every thing seems right.Anyone have any thoughts.Not many dryer out there with this new gas valve.

Change the regulator setting from NAT to LP don't change the regulator.

Great, so now instead of paying $6.29 for a pair of coils, I pay $40 for the all-in-one.  It looks like Whirlpool eliminated the metal bracket with this new design.  This probably saves them about 2¢ a dryer so then they can pass that savings along to the consumer.

theoldstoveguy  Your were right on the gas valve. Went back today and saw on the regulator L.P and Nat.The other day when i converted it i took out the screws on the valve and just by luck change it to L.P. I no now from you just push down and turn to the arrow on the valve.Thanks for your help.I am sure this will help someone else to.And thats why a had a nice blue flame.By accident.This seems that not to be a very poplar gas valve.Hope they don't go down that road.Coil kit one the other valves are a lot cheaper.Thank for your help again.
