Kenmore SxS model 106.55546402. A friend of mine called me and said he had ice in the refrigerator side on the lower drawers. I go look at it for him and you can tell where the plastic molding on the refrigerator side in between the fridge and freezer is bowed and deformed and had ice on it. The molding above the bottom two drawers is fine, it is only next to the two drawers. I told him we would have to leave it unplugged and try to dry that insulation out between the fridge and freezer section. It is obvious that moisture is some how accumulating in the lower part of the insulation between the fridge and freezer and freezing up. The freezer side showed signs on thin ice on all the plastic molding inside like it was humid and damp and freezes on the panels. I did notice that it looked very humid and damp inside the refrigerator section on all the plastic molding also. My question is what would cause both sides to get humid and damp and the insulation in between to get so much moisture that it freezes and deforms the plastic molding?
