Viking latch problems

Hi everyone.  I have a hexed Viking self cleaning oven that's been giving me serious issues.  VGSC-44bs is the mode number and I am replacing the latch assembly but the original part number pe050020 changed to pe050053 and I tried everything to make this work but it mounts nothing like the original and the wires aren't long enough to reach since it is a total redesign.  I've been working on Viking for about 10 years never had an issue like this anybody have any tips it would really be greatly appreciated.
