colder temp in whirl pool SXS

Model# KSCS25fvss01. I volunteer my time at a technical school, in the major appliance classrooms. I no longer run service warranty service calls. The class is fortunate to have appliances sent from retailers for repair. A whirlpool side-by-side refrigerator with the ice bucket on the door, has been sent to the class. This one refrigerator had over four service calls for products freezing in the fresh food side. The refrigerator was replaced by the retailer. The retailer would like us to solve this problem. Technicians from the retailer have replaced the main control, and the damper. We put temperature recorders in both sections of the refrigerator freezer. The freezer's temperature would drop below -20°, and the fresh food section in the lower half would drop below freezing. My opinion of the crisper drawer supply duct not closing fully, was not well received. Has anyone else have an opinion.

-20° seems a little too cold.  What is the average temp in the freezer?  It should be around 0°F.  Since the control board and damper have been replaced,  that only leaves the one or both of the thermistors.  According to the tech sheet, the thermistor should read 2.7KΩ at 25°C (77°F). Pull them out and see how they ohm at room temperature.

As stated,-20 is too cold.
Thermisters and control board are the only thing controlling this.
What are the run times?
Does the compressor cycle off?
