GE Dishwasher GSD2000Z04WH not draining
« on: February 04, 2012, 09:39:58 AM »
I have a dishwasher that runs the clean cyle but when it gets to drain cycle the water does not pump out.  I checked the solenoid and it engages down when the drain cycle starts but the water does not pump out.  I replaced the timer and solenoid but the same results.  I removed the spray arms to see if there something stuck in there but didnt see any.  Any ideas why this is happening?  please help.  Thanks

Model GSD2000Z04WH

most of the time i see problem not drain, it usally the filter in sump housing, just need to remove, clean filter & drains fine, but if you have a air gap on sink, i would check that first.

I removed the sump cover and sump cup but didnt see any debris that would block it.  I emptied the water and ran it again and still no luck on the drain issue.

take drain hose off pump , pull out enough where you can blow through it, may be stopped up in hose. if new disposal was put in, make sure knock out was removed.

let me know if this helps!

Which end of the hose do i need to remove? My disposal is not new and it's been draining ever since. you think it's the hose is the issue? Before when it was working when it gets to the drain cycle i will hear the pump suck out the water. Since it stop draining i dont hear that sound anymore.  Let me know. Thanks.

There is a round disk looking thing in the front of your DW, press it down and up do you hear a clicking noise? That is your float switch and can get stuck, press it up and down and then try again. Also when you do a cancel (drains water) do you hear any weird noises?
