LG D.O.A. Washer #WM2277HW
« on: January 30, 2012, 09:08:14 PM »
Buddy of mine dropped this off today. LG TROMM front loader model # WM2277HW. Someone gave it to him to scrap it but it looked too good to pitch. I plugged it in and it's D.O.A. (Dead on arrival). It will not even light up, click etc. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Check to make sure the red LED on the main control lights up. If it doesn't light up, check for power to the main control. If its getting power and the red LED lights up, it could be the user interface.

When I checked it earlier today it was D-E-A-D, dead. No lights or anything.

Just saw this tip at the bottom of the page here:

Repair tip: Noise filter has built in fuse that will cause no power issue.

I just ran into one of these yesterday with the same issue. Checked incoming voltage at the filter, but no voltage coming out of the filter. Anyone know what might cause this?

Well I checked into this earlier today finally. I am getting voltage FROM the filter TO the main board BUT the red LED is not lighting up. Guess he is goin to be paying for a new board. If not I may invest the money into it.

Let us know if you put a new board in it if that's all that was wrong with it.
