Timer will not move when drying

I have a Maytag dryer model LDE312 series 02. 
I have replaced the timer and it will not advance.  I have tried in in multiple positions and on timed dry and air only settings.
What should I look at as being a possible culprit?

Do you have power to the timer motor?
Was the timer you installed a new one?

Is there a wiring diagram on the unit that you could post for us to look at?

312 is a simple system all auto dry goes through the cycling thermostat. The rest is direct to the timer to advance. I would trace wires and double check wiring to timer. Doing this from memory. 25 years Maytag Red Carpet.

Anyone know where I can get a service manual?

In time dry the timer motor get 110 volts constant. First check for that. I have tossed all my paper books manuals etc.as they were on line. Whirlpool must think there aren't any out there so why bother with the old stuff. It is not listed on line any more. On the timer each terminal has a number on it make sure the wires (also numbered ) are matched up.
