Kitchen Aid Gas Oven - "Off" button does not work.

The kitchen Aid oven - Model # KGSA906PSS00, works fine.  But the only way to get the Oven to turn off is to use the Oven timer and set it to 1 minute and then the oven turns off in one minute. 
The "off" button just does not respond.  In another forum I was told it is either the Central control or the ERC.  I replaced both and still no change.

sorry, thats it, take your time putting it on , behind ribbon , theres another tape over the membrane , very sticky. go slow, when you have it lined up, press to stick, i think its 3m. i have replaced hundreds for same problem.

I have to do this repair as well.  I ordered the membrane switch, but I have had some difficulty finding a shop manual.  Can you guys describe the replacement process?  As far as I can tell, it involves removing the front knobs and the screws on the underside of the front panel, popping off the side caps, and the front panel will come off.  The ribbon off the control panel will disconnect from a socket on the circuit board, and the process is repeated in reverse to reassemble.  Is this correct?

I had a couple of screws on the side also and the panel pulls forward, but that is how I did it also.
