Whirlpool Washer LSR8010PQ0 pin fell from motor?

The model is a Whirlpool Washer LSR8010PQ0, the pin is 2" in length, flat on one side of shaft, has a hole in the body at the end, has a head, and appears to be some type of retaining pin.  It fell from, (I believe as I had turned away as it fell, and did not see it fall), around the motor or transmission when I had just reattached the pump, after installing a new Clutch Assembly and Direct Drive Motor Coupling.  I had no difficulties with the installation of these parts, and everything went back together without a problem.  Please see attached scan.  I was not able to locate it from the schematics for any system for this washer on Whirlpool website for this model washer.

It's a shipping pin. When the shipping strap was pulled out from the back of the washer two shipping pins fall into a couple plastic cups inside the washer to keep them from falling on the floor. Sometimes they fall out of the cups when the washer is being moved around and worked on.

It's not needed for anything now.
