What's happens during the spin cycle?
Can you hear the motor running during the spin cycle?

The first thing to check is the lid switch. By pass it to see if that puppy starts spinning if you ain't got no other way to check it. This washer has a belt. The motor only goes in one direction. To get the washer to pump and spin the tranny's gears get shifted. The shifting is done by a couple of solenoids mounted on a wig wag. When timer wants to go from the wash mode to spin the spin solenoid is activated which causes the shift lever to make her spin and open the pump flap so the water can drain out. The lid switch simply interrupts the circuit from the timer to the spin solenoid. If the lid switch is good, the wigwag solenoid could be bad, however, with the age of this beast sometimes yall can simply shine up the floating shift pins. They get corroded. Sanding them down can make her come back if the solenoids are kosher and the timer is doing its thang. The wigwag has 4 wires. 2 white common wires (one on each solenoid) and 2  other wires. You can swap them other wires and she will spin in wash mode and wash in spin mode. That is an easy way to see if the timer is working all propah like.

sometimes the brakes lockup, also if you can see the clutch spinning during the spin then you know its either clutch or above, and if its not spinning then it will be something below the clutch possibly all the way back to control panel, lid switch for example.
