Hotpoint Stove "Burner On" light

I have a hotpoint stove that the "Burner On" light will not shut off, and none of the burners on are. The stove works fine despite this fact, but I am a maintenance technician at an aprtment complex and the resident this is happening to is worried about the stove. Any suggestions

one of your switches are bad, need to use meter to find bad one, need model number to look up.
