Kenmore Elite Washer Stops at Same Point In Cycle

I have a Kenmore Elite washer (I was told  it is  a Calypso), model #11021064000, which stops at the same time in the cycle for hours before continuing and completing the cycle. No matter what cycle I choose, once the time (digital display) reaches 22 minutes the washer will simply stop and start nutating without advancing. This goes on for hours before it eventually completes the cycle. Once the cycle is completed, I have to wring the clothes out with my hands because they are still so wet. On the advice of a service company, I had the pump replaced but that did not fix the problem.

Any ideas on what might cause this? I hate to pay more money for another repair that won't fix the problem.

How much soap are you using? Are you using HE? This washer is designed to use a very small amount of water whch gets continuosly circulated on the clothes. The washer will stop in mid cycle and do a series of washouts to correct oversudsing if too much soap is detected. Try running a few loads in without adding any soap.
