GE wcvh6260hww drum rubbing seal

A the wife called and said the washer was smoking and making load noises. When i get home to investigate i find some of the rubber seal for the door torn off. I checked the struts they seem fine. It does this about half the time we run it now during the spine cycle and cant seem to figure out what i might need to replace on this p.o.s washer any thoughts?

Thanks but i found that early and i dont see anything in it that goes over my problem. Any ideas on what is causing this?

My friend has one he is going to bring over but has yet to do so. When it warms up I am gonna take a look at it.

Sounds as if the rear drum bearing is trying to seize.

Remove the belt and turn the drum pulley by hand.
Look closely at the belt for burn/wear marks.

sometimes the seal just get out of whack, & just need a new bellow part #AP4334050

ok I will do that an check. Im guessing the bearing is not a serviceable part and would need a new drum? Hopefully it is the seal out of whack it is creased in some spots and another pc did tear off today when it was running.

if the bearings are bad, it will sound real load in spin, & spin basket will have alot of play ( move up & down)

It doesnt do that it rubs on the rubber seal and causes it to smoke and has torn some of the seal. I ordered the seal today hopefully this will fix it

Make sure your unit is level with the front just a little higher than the back.
