Whirlpool Washer LA4800XTG1 does not spin

Whirlpool Washer Model LA4800XTG1

Customer said the washer did not spin the clothes out. They tried the spin cycle again and could hear the motor running but the tub would not spin.

I replace the motor coupling part # AP3963893 to repair this washer.

Try byassing the lid switch and give the tub a push or kick start with your hand while on the spin cycle. If it tries to go or seems like it wants to then replace the clutch.

The coupler was broken, just posting to state what I did to repair it.

Just sharing some info from my completed service calls.


It's part of my New Years resolution, lol..


I started the 'Service Calls' board so the techs would have a place to post info about there completed service calls and help build up the forum data base for when people search for help.


I have been slacking in adding my own service call info, so the last couple days I have been trying to pick up the slack.

Good advice though, I had one like that today or what is the other day? Long week already.

No way to delete, sorry.
Use to let everyone delete and had a tech go crazy one night and delete hundreds of post he made.
Made a mess out of the forums as there ended up being topics with missing answers and such.

Took me hours to fix that mess, lol...

Now 'Technicians' can edit there post for something like 15 minutes after they post. This gives you time to fix typo's and such things.

You can also edit the text and replace it with the word 'Delete' or please delete and I would have removed it for you, but now I would not worry about it.

It's all good...

I beg to differ---certainly wasn't "hundreds" of posts.

But I am "that crazy tech" I guess...
