Customer said it was leaking water. I removed the front of the washer and ran it. Could see it was leaking out the center of the tub.

Installed a new Mounting Stem Repair Kit and Tub Bearing Kit.

I did my first tub seal an bearing when i was 15 at my dads shop.   almost 15 years later i have prob did 200-300 of these suckers.  You see, when i got into this bus.  i was doing delivery's and when i wasn',t my dad was teaching me Dependable care washers and dryers.  We use to rebuild all of them that came back and sell them as Re-built, not used.  good money and learned a ton about these things.  I can get one stripped down and back together in about 30-40 minutes if everything comes apart easy.    These machine's were built like tanks, and should never be discarded as long as you can get the parts for repair.

I agree, good machines. My own personal washer is a Maytag dependable drive. It's around 15 years old now. Never done a thing to it.

i had 20 mod # A308, sold 2 out of 20, was selling for 40.00 each. had ad in paper, most cust. would say that machine is to old. i want 1 that will last. tryed to explain, anyway took 18 to the scrap yard.
