The good news is you get a new refrigerator. The bad news is that it's another SamDung. :(

The reason you got the new one is because your problem is sealed system related.  Since many of Samsung's authorized servicers have been canned and no one is willing to go to your area, they're better off replacing the unit.  I've seen this problem before and the Samsung tech support tells us to replace the inverter board first.  If the board doesn't resolve the issue, replace the compressor.  There is no test procedure to see if the inverter board is good or not.  The flashing LED light says it's trying to start the compressor.  That's all.

Since Samsung cannot provide warranty service for your area, you may want to follow the advise of whirlpooltech and see if you can get store credit towards another brand that warranty service can provide.  Ask the sales rep who can service the different models and call that company to see if they will come out to your area before buying the product.

Good luck.

According to the guy at Best Buy it had to be another Samsung.  But will check into that today if it is indeed the case.  If I can go with another brand, have you had better luck with LG or something like that?  I know my wife is determined to keep the french door style.  Thanks to all that tried to help.  I will get the info on the fuse before they haul it away.

I work on LG's a lot because people know me as an authorized servicer.  As for Samsung, even though I'm still an authorized servicer, I get no work from Samsung.  The work I do get is referrals from Lowes stores because I'm more local and know the department manager there.

Hope everything works out for you.

Well waiting for Best Buy to deliver the replacement refrigerator.  Got the newer model of my existing one since wife and I couldn't get our schedules together to look.  I did try the text message/picture sending route but that just added too much confusion.  We do have 30 days to decide if we want to exchange for another model or even a different brand.  Have been living out of a cooler for the past almost two weeks.  So thanks to all for your help.  As promised to Sherlocktk, here is the info on the fuses.  On the invertor board, mine was marked on the board as FH1 F5/6.3A250V and contained a fuse EF6.3A 250VP, on the main board, the board was marked FH250 5A but contained a fuse EF 2AL 250VP.  Hope that helps!!!  Happy New Year to all!
