I have a trane tcont802as32daa thermostat that I am trying to replace with a honeywell rth7600 thermostat.

Trane wiring is as follows:

Wire -> Terminal

Yellow -> Y
Red -> R (R has a jumper with RC)
White -> O
Green -> G
Blue -> B
Yellow (second yellow) -> Y2
White w/ black -> W1

The Honeywell rth7600 has the following heat pump terminals:

C
G
Y
O/B
RC
R (R and RC have a jumper)
AUX
E
L

So, is this how I should wire it?

Yellow -> Y
Red -> R (R has a jumper with RC)
White -> O/B
Blue -> C
Green -> G
Yellow (second yellow) -> E
White w/ black -> Aux

What brand heat pump,  backup and/or emergency heat do you have?  Yellow is typically Y1 cooling power Y2 is second stage of cooling but y1 usually also powers the heat pump mode( maybe in 2 stage cooling it doesn't). G is typically the indoor fan motor, O/B is for your reversing valve ( most use O unless you have Rheem/Rhuud who uses B), w1 is typically first stage of heat, E= Emergency heat, red is positive power from the transformer,  and C is common side of the transformer can be a blue or brown wire.  It appears your first tstat didn't use the common and used the battery as common.  Unless they used w1 to activate the reversing valve and B is your common, but that doesnt make much sense. You may want to track down the wires at the indoor and outdoor unit to insure it's getting hooked up correctly.  I haven't messed with anything with 2 stages of cooling as of yet

You also may want to make sure that new tstat is setup for 2 stage cooling which it doesn't appear to be.

Honeywells site is under maintenance.  I will try to download the installation instructions later.  Also those touchscreens will have to be setup with whatever you are using it for heatpump with electric backup, heatpump with gas/oil, etc.  I put one in for a buddy one time and didn't program it for heatpump so only ac worked. Lessons learned.

Heat Pump is a Trane 4TWX; emergency heat is part of the heat pump system.
