Frgidaire Front Load Washer Does Not Pump Water Out FTF2140ES0

Washer makes a humming noise durning the drain cycle, but it does not pump the water out.
Should I just order a new water pump or is there something else it could be?

could be possible that something has gotten stuck in there, may be lint ball stuck. check that 1st.

Check the pump and hoses for blockage.
If everything looks clear then chances are you will need a new pump.
Sometimes the little impellers bust off.


I looked up your model and it uses pump part # AP4359998

So I used a shop vac to suck the water out and pulled the hose off the pump and still got water everyplace.
How do you guys replace the pumps without getting water all over the place?

I did not see anything stuck in the pump so I guess it's just bad and will order a new one.

I carry 2 pinch off pliers in my tool bag, they work great!

Don't forget to check the filter that sits just inside the hose going to the tub. Have seen plenty of these plugged up, causing the problem you describe.....

I like to use my home made pinch off tool at the top of the photo for front loader tub to pump hoses.
