OK all, replaced the drain pump.  Ordered it on line. Installed it when it got here.  Worked fine, :) ;D  At least the drain did, had a new noise when the drum was spinning :embarassed:.  Figured out what it was when the supply hose started to leak  :tickedoff:.  I had left the rear cover off and the tub was rubbing on the hoses.  :embarassed:  Any way replaced the hoses and all is well.

Just thought i would share about leaving the back cover off.  May save someone else the trouble.

Is the drain pump located in the front or back? Does accessing the drain pump require removal of the front panel? I'm pretty sure my drain pump is running but it does not sound right; it almost sounds like a grinding sound. I'm hoping that it's just something caught in there.

check your drain catch.
Open the little door on the front. You will find a little hose with a plug in it. Pull it out and catch all the water. Then remove the drain catch and check for abstructions.
If there is nothing in there most likely will need a new pump.
