Frigidaire FDB1050REB2 dishwasher doesnt finish cycles

My dishwasher does not finish any cycles. I ran the normal and light wash cycles and finally shut the thing off manually after 2 hrs!! Any ideas on what is causing this?

Does the timer advance at all?
Wonder if it's waiting to heat the water and the water never gets hot enough?

Not sure about the timer as it doesnt have a digital display of any kind. The water gets very hot, and the dishes get clean. It just keeps repeating the wash cycle and never gets to the heated dry.

Sounds like a problem with the control module.
I looked up your model dishwasher and it uses control module part # 154712101

I have also attached a copy of the tech sheet I looked at for your dishwasher.

Appreciate the info. Pretty expensive part but what do you do?
Wondering if I should replace it or just buy a whole new dishwasher?

What kind of shape are the dishracks in? If the dishracks look ok yet and are not all rusted up I would consider trying to repair the old dishwasher. If the racks look in bad shape then I would start shopping for a new dishwasher.

Good point. The washer is still in excellent shape. Not quite sure how old it is or how much it originally cost. We just bought the house and it was here. By the looks of it, its not too old. I'll order the new part soon and hopefully thats the problem.
