Whirlpool Refrig Air Baffle 2004484

Kitchen Aid Side/Side - Refrig section gets too cold.  Take out Air Baffle, warm up/dry out & works fine for couple weeks.

Replacement is WHIRLPOOL 2004484 Air Baffle Assembly, AP2987981

Any ideas?

I'd run it thru some diagnostics first. There may be a reason the baffle freezes if the temps are too cold. I found a quick reference to the wiring and troubleshooting guide in case you lost your tech sheet.

unfortunatly it also doesn't say what if anything is revised when you order the new part

BrntToast, right on the money.  Sounds like my problem, although does not list my model as you point out and I am definitely not in a high humidity environment (Michigan).

I have taken the baffle/motor out enough to speculate (I'm just an engineer - civil though) that the part is probably some sort of gasketing or isolator from the damper/air flow to the controls.

How should I contact the Whirlpool techies to see if I can use it in my application?
