LG Dryer lights up but doesn't start---just hear clicking sound

I have a LG electric dryer model # DLE8377NM.  A few weeks ago, I noticed it didn't seem to dry as quickly----now the power button lights up, but when I select the cycle----the drum does not turn---I just hear a series of three clicks-----the timer will continue to run down, but the dryer does not turn-----I have already tried replacing the master circuit breaker, but that didn't fix the problem---any other ideas?

Where do you hear the clicking sound coming from?  The top of the control panel?  Down low in the dryer?

The clicking sound is coming from the top left hand front corner of the dryer----right behind the control----I hear three clicking sounds in sequence---I tried replacing the master circuit board.

What about the exhaust limit? Clicking might be the control trying to confirm continuity of a  tripped exhaust limit maybe?

That sounds like a possibility---how do you reset the exhaust limit if it has been tripped?

It sounds like the blower thermostat has failed.  The part number is 6931EL3002A.  The part location is K560 on the blower housing.  You will have to take apart the dryer and drum assembly to get to it.  To be sure, use a ohm meter to see if the thermostat is open.  If it is, replace it.

It did seem like the dryer was not drying as well before it failed all together----I'll have the thermostat checked and let you know the outcome.

Thanks for all of the suggestions---after 5 service calls---two companies couldn't figure it out--so scrapping the dryer and will probably just buy an old one for $100 or so which is what I should have done instead of buying the fancier model.
