Maytag Ensignia Washer skips final drain/spin and keeps agitating

Model # MAV8757AWW Just repaired/installed the triple lip seal and tub bearing in this tonight. I ran it and walked away. Came back to find the water was still in the tub. Ran another cycle and watched it closely and it worked as it should. Another full cycle and it worked. Fourth attempt I saw that the timer did not pause at the rinse cycle to drain and spin and kept agitating straight through to the off position and then finished with a tub of water. Is this a timer issue?
