I am in need of a NLA heater any help appriciated

MAYTAG DRYER MODEL # MCE8000AYW

I HAVE A NEED FOR A HEATER FOR THIS DRYER I THINK THE PART NUMBER IS

PART No. 31001746

EVERYWHERE I LOOK IT SAYS NO LONGER AVAILABLE. IF YOU FIND ONE PLACE A LINK ON REPLY AND THANK YOU ALL FOR SUCH A USEFUL SITE.

It is so stupid but I can't seem to get a photo of the element. Do you have a photo of the element. maybe it can be replaced with something else if only we knew what it looked like.

AJ this is one of the Haier dryers that Maytag  tried to get into bed with...all parts connections have been severed as far as I know. This was introduced as the Neptune Drying Cabinet. It was made with Herrin parts as well as some Amana ones, such as the heater. The heater looks suspiciously like one from an SDE model..

I need the the same heating element but the link at the end of this thread says the part is no longer available at that location.  Anybody have any hints on how to rebuild it?
