dryer not catching lint

I have a Fridgidare Affinety Dryer.  for the last few weeks the lint catcher is not collecting any lint.  I cannot find anything wrong except for a piece of thin metal with white tips and shaped like a boomerang.  Said piece was laying in the lint collector area.  Any suggestions?

It maybe helpful to post the full model number that is on the model/serial number tag that is located on the dryer.

BTW: it's probably a under wire from a bra.
