GE Filter Flo Timer Knob hard to turn

Timer knob is hard to turn and slips.  Is this an easy fix?


You have to really push hard to get it to catch.

You need a new timer knob, WH1X276.  There's clip you remove from behind the knob. No need to remove the clip from the new knob, just pop it on.

Once you get the new knob you can also opt to apply zoomspout oil to the shaft and work it till it turns real easy.
Tomorrow I am going to work on a couple of GE washers and photograph the procedure. Once you get the knob off there you pull the dial indicator off and that exposes the screws you remove to get the timer off. Like I said gonna do one in the morning.
