Lets see if anyone can help!!
OK, I am working on a Frigidare Stackable unit - Model# FEX831FS4 and here is my problem: It won't pump the water out or spin afterwards. Here is what I have done: I ran a jumper wire from the pump to the 110 outlet and then the pump starts and takes the water out, then I undo the jumper and plug in the right line and put the timer on spin and it will spin, so in my thinking the pump is good, and the lid switch is good as it now spins, soooo I am thinking its the timer, would this be correct or do you have another reason or could it still be the pump or lid switch? Also I started the machine again and it will fill and agitate and when it comes to rise or spin the timer continues to move but will not do anything and then when I put the jumper power line to the pump it will pump and then advance to spin!! I am REALLY CONFUSED. Everyone is telling me that its a bad spot in the timer, but I need to be sure, not just changing parts. PLEASE help if you can hopefully this is not too confusing and you are able to understand all of this. Looking forward to a good response from the pros. Thanks in advance for the help

Sound's like bad spot in timer.  It will not spin without going through the drain cycle.  If it keeps advancing without draining could be bad connection during drain (you could check for power, carefully, when it should be draining and see).  Have you tried it in different cycles or just i.e. normal wash?  Couple tech's on here have some great pics on rebuilding and rehabing bad timers...sometimes they can be resurected.

Rego, When you say check for power, where do you mean? Thanks for the help

If you are comfortable enough with electricity (by no mean's put yourself in danger) when the timer should be in drain you can check for atleast 105V at the pump where you jumpered it.  If it has no power it sure sound's like a bad timer.  http://www.appliancepartspros.com/Appliance-Parts/frigidaire-timer---washer-item-number-ap2107583.aspx   Another possibility is to check the resistance in the wire harness for possible shorts but if the timer advances it's not likely.  Hope this helps.  Be carefull with live wire!

Have been going for 15 hour's straight and hope it helps , just watch yourself on those live wire's they'll bite ya if your'e not carefull.  Make sure you try it on different cycles also to verify.  Best of luck, let us know how it works out.

I will tell you what I found one day. The big molex plug that goes into the washer timer had backed out slightly. I remove the plug an looked for corrosion then plugged her back in and she didn't miss a beat after that.
