Watching TV and just seen this on the news, not good news. Not good at all.

Quote
Appliance manufacturer Whirlpool Corp. announced Friday that it is cutting 5,000 jobs, mostly in North America and Europe, and closing a refrigerator factory in Arkansas.

Great way to add more unemployed to the already crappy economy.  Good job Whirlpool.  Just keep sending those jobs overseas!

:(  Sorry to hear about that.   I sincerely hope you/yours are not affected by this.  They must take pleasure in doing this stuff at this time of year.  I mean anytime is bad, but at Thanksgiving/Christmas - come on!

Big companys like whirlpool and G.E don,t care about people working for them .When i work for G.E i was laid of 7 years in a row just around the hoildays
I was just a number. My tech# was 147.7 Years of you will be laid of for about 3 months. That was 25 years ago . Now most big companys are making these part oversea. We are in bad shape as a nation. The good days are gone. I think the appliances made  today are junk. They have a lot of problems and parts that are out there to buy even if you buy wholesale, are up there in price. Most say made in china.

A smart investor would look for the best designs of the past and manufacture those tried and true products.
