How do i figure out defrost heaters in parallel

this is one of the questions on the test.If you have 3 defrost  heaters and each one is 15 ohm's,the incoming voltage is 120V and then it asks what would be the watts.   take 120 volt and divide 15ohms and get 8 amps then that means each one has 8 amps. i think it said what would each defrost heater would be. the watts then I would divide 120volts divide by 8 would be 15 watts.I think I'm right :-\

Don't want to throw a monkey wrench in there because my math is kinda fuzzy, but what if all three heaters were differing lengths? LOL

Watts = Volts x amps.  In this case, you solved correctly for amps, 8.  Your wattage is then, 120 x 8 = 960.  Since the heaters are in parallel, it would be 3 x 960 = 2880.  The total wattage of the heaters is 2880.
