Kenmore/Frigidaire 417.43042200 Doesn't finish cycle

Mini manual taken by previous service company (UGH).
Flying blind I replaced the timer but unit still won't finish cycles. Just sits there with the door locked. I suspect the door lock solenoid. Any ideas out there?

Spins and agitates okay; sure controller is okay. I do suspect the door lock.

I'm going to double check operation. I have a suspicion that the timer I installed was not a new part; I received it from Marcone in a re-taped box. I was also told to check the voltage to the wax motor in the door lock after the final spin ended to see if the timer killed the voltage to the door lock when the cycle ended. I'm going to get some parts tomorrow; I'll pick up a new door lock and put it in. If that doesn't solve the problem I'll have a spare and will assume the 'new' timer was defective....
