UPDATE! I went ahead and order a cap and got it today. Installed it and plug it in. Fire shot out the inside back of the unit from the main wire harness and woke my a#s up real quick.

Found a pinched wire with insulation nicked and grounding. For some reason the harness was loose and not strapped down. See attached pictures and note the burn mark on the cabinet. Repaired the wire, reinstalled the motor etc. and she fired right up. All for some time and about $8 bucks. Looks like another nice profit on this one.
