American LOKRING Sealed System Repair

American LOKRING brought along a very impressive and hands-on display of their sealed system compression fittings. This design is actually being used in European markets where the use of a torch for brazing is becoming more restrictive, and the use of propane as a refrigerant is become more common place. Currently, GE is the only American manufacturer to embrace this new system, but the class consisted of changing components on a Subzero unit with the Subzero technical staff showing a lot of interest in the ease at which system components can be replaced as needed. This may be the wave of the future, or it may fade away forever, but it is a neat and clean way to do system repair.

I have a bunch of different size lokrings and I have the tool but I have never used it. I thought it might be a nice thing one day in a tight spot where brazing would not be an option. I am retired now and I only do a little B tank stuff on domestic dispute window ACs ha ha! The weight on the total of what I have including the tool would be around 5 pounds. What do you think it would be worth if anything?

i had almost forgotten about that tool, i don't think i'd bother with it if there was room for my torch, but inside a freezer with plastic liner it'd save the hastle of pulling or changing/relocating the heat exchanger
