Ice-O-Matic Ice Maker
« on: October 03, 2011, 11:06:59 AM »
I have never worked on one of these units, but like an Idiot my boss sends me out there knowing I've never worked on one before.

Problem is not making Ice, everything is running, cant tell if water is getting in because it's a shaved ice unit (like Sonic ice) but I can see the auger moving....I'm a little lost.

Any suggestions?

Just from looking at the machine I see that on the right up top is the res, you want to make sure it is full of water, check the filters and clean the condenser, I bet none of that has been done yet. Then go by the diagnostics on the board. Prob something simple like a water valve or dirty condenser. Easy money.

Thanks for the help guys, I'll try that link. The res was full of water but you can't tell if it's getting into where the ice is made.

If the reservoir stays full and the compressor and auger are running you have a refrigeration problem.
Check high and low pressures.
