GE Profile Dishwasher -- Keypad or Control? PDW9280N00SS

Have  a  4 year old GE profile dishwasher, model: PDW9280N00SS   Nice unit, but the thing won't change modes any more with the digital keypad.

The unit will wash and dry in normal cycle only.  Pushing the membrane keypad evokes no response.

How do I debug if this is a keypad or control issue?   Is it common for this to go out?

This is a top mounted membrane keypad. It is just glued in, or is there some other magic to pull it out.

I did download the service manual (THANKS!) and am reading through it now.

I looked up your model and it uses keypad part # WD34X11210

twas the keypad. Straightforward fix except for getting the old adhesive off without marring the finish, but all is well.

It pays to shop for parts, however. Prices for the part ranged from about $60 to $150 from various on-line sources -- same GE part.
