This is a commercial, coin operated stacked gas dryer. I am using it in our home and dont need the coin operation and was going to install a push button to add time, but before then quarters got jammed and my son took the front off to remove the jammed quarters and when we put it back together we had the F5 error code. The description for F5 I found says: "Problem with one of the coin drop units (check mechanism and sensors) Check terminal connections in harness and circuit board connectors. Loss of 25 volt AC secondary of transformer"
I dont think it is the transformer due to the previous problem and fix. I have checked the wiring and mechanism but can not find the problem to clear the fault. I would like to go ahead and eliminate the coin drops.
Does anyone have any idea how to bypass the coin drops? There are two coin drops, one for quarters and one for dimes. There are four wires going to each drop: one blue, one red and two white. Both white wires are connected at the wiring terminal. From the terminal the the wires go to what looks to be a sensor where the coin drops thru. One white and one Red is on one side and one white and one blue are on the opposite side of the coin drop sensor. On the opposite end of the wiring terminals to the coin drops, for the white wires it looks like one goes to the dryer, one is interconnected between the two terminals for the coin drops and one of the white wires goes to the console key to lock/unlock diagnostics.
Thanks for your help.
