PF Code Whirlpool Range

OK, This is driving me crazy! Working on a Whirlpool Electric Range - Model# RF361PXKQ - EVERYTHING workos fine but when the unit is first plugged in it shows an error code of PF, if I push any button then the code goes away and everything works fine. My question is why does it come back id I unplug it everytime but goes away when I push any button. Also I do not see an error code of PF in the manual. If anyone can let me know how to correct this problem I would really appreciate it. I had a guy at work tell me that this is normal and not to worry about it as long as everything works!! I say NO there must be a code stuck in it or something else is causing this, Sounds crazy to me , maybe I am crazy and the code is normal!! Please Advise . Thanks , Frustrated Bob

That is normal and there is nothing you can do to change it.

PF = power failure

and of coarse a power failure just took place before you plugged it back in.

Display
When power is first supplied to the appliance, everything on the display will light up for 5 seconds.
Then “PF” will appear on the display.
Any other time “PF” appears, a power failure occurred.
Reset the clock. See “Clock” section.
When the oven is not in use, the display will show the time of day.
