Ok Guys - this is embarrassingly simple:
We had a construction worker accidentally unplug a basement fridge. By the time we discovered - lost all the vennison I had in the freezer. 

Went to clean the freezer defrost drain that runs all along the bottom and it looks like I have to take the doors off their hinges and peal back the sides so I can pull the freezer floor panel out to clean the drain?

Seems like a lot of work for a simple cleaning maintenance... pls tell me I'm upside down on this!

Looking at the TBX23ZHB Diagram it's hard to tell for sure.

Looks like you should just have to remove the back freezer wall to get to the drain.

Did you get it apart and cleaned yet?

thx but I looked at the back of the frig. & do not see a simple way to access the freezer.
Attached is a snapshot of the drain that runs the width of the freezer floor.

That is no drain that is how the cold air gets below to the fresh food compartment.

You shouldnt need to clean the defrost drain, Its located behind the back wall under the coil. The water that melts during defrost runs down and collects in a pan under the fridge and is evaporated away by the heat from the condenser coil.

Thx. I see It isn't a drain but we still need to clean it from the meat spoiling and draining in there. I'll chalk it up to a bad design & try to clean in there as best i can. Thx for your help!

I seem to recall that on some of these older GE's you need to bow the tray up in the center to get it out.  Just turning the fridge back on will kill the bacteria and reduce the smell.  Some activated charcoal will absorb the odor, works much better than baking soda.

I have used a small saucer with water 1 teaspoon of vanilla the fresh food section. Seems to help.
