This is going to sound strange, but...
I have an old (1972) Kenmore belt drive, and after a failure of the electronic timer, mostly in the interest of improving my own education, I added a PLC (Automation Direct "Click" series) and an Automation Direct C-More Micro Touch HMI (Human-Machine Interface), also known as a touch panel.
The system works quite well (if anyone else wants to try it I'll be happy to share details, PLC and HMI programming, etc), but my only problem is that I am not sure what the cycle times should be. If someone has a timing chart for a belt drive and could give me these figures, I would be very appreciative!
Times in minutes
Normal cycle:
Wash Agitate
Drain
Spin
Rinse Agitate
Drain
Spin
Wash and wear is similar, but there is a cooldown in there and I don't remember how it works. I also have a rinse-only, a delicate and a soak cycle (it never had a soak cycle before), and at the end of the cycle it beeps and the touch screen flashes red/green.
Through the PLC I have complete control over motor speed, delays, wig-wag solenoids (agitate/drain and spin) water temperature, etc...the machine frame is in pretty bad shape (severe rust) and there are a number of other issues, but this machine is almost 40 years old and I want to see if I can get it to hold out to 50 years (year 2022)...
