Kenmore Microwave

Hi: Ihave a Kenmore microwave mod.# 592.85606-0
the display is showing SE and nothing will happen when you press any buttons.
I unplugged the cord and replugged it in and still the same
Is there a service manual for this unit available and also who made it as 592 is not in the list of Kenmore manufactures

Please double check the model number. Should be eight numbers after the dot, Never seen a sears model number with a dash in it towards the end like you posted. Are you sure it starts with 592?

Hi: Sorry for the delay in getting back, owner was out of town.
The model number is 85606 this is on the tag as well as the other number 592.85606-0
and it is a Kenmore. It is grey and black in color

I can't find any info on that model number or any Kenmore starting with 592. How old is this microwave? The "SE" error sounds like a shorted touchpad error that I have seen on some of the newer ones that are made by Samsung, which have a model # beginning with 401.

Thanks Whjeffs: I am not sure how old this is but I checked 4 times and that is the info on the tag.
I am in Newfoundland, Canada so sometimes models are different. Sounds like you might be right on the money as sometimes it workes for a short while and othertimes it won't work at all. Just the SE code. I guess I'll have to call Sears and see hou much a board cost as I can't seem to find out who made it.
