Asko dryer t700 not staying hot

I have been having a problem with the dryer not continuing to turn on the heating element.  I have replaced the time and also have replaced the Cycling Thermostat P/N 8001444 and also the other front Thermostat P/N 8065015.  When the timer is set at #1 the heating element comes on full temperature for only about 5-10 seconds then goes off.  watching the heating element with the door open I hear the cycling relay click however the heater never comes on again.  Stopping the dryer and starting it again will once again cause the heating element to turn on.  Any one have any ideas?

Check for lint buildup in the heater.  Check the rear duct inside the dryer.  If the duct has an opening near the heater inlet, tape it closed with aluminum foil tape. Running the dryer with the door open is not a good test because it  will cause the heater to overheat. Here's your schematic.

I had covered the hole the last time I had an issue.  I haven't yet looked at the heating element this time.  I will do that this afternoon.
