Trash Compactor

Can anyone tell me how to unjam a trash compactor? The compactor is jammed down...I hate these damn things!

Sometimes I have found that the drawer will get pushed out when the ram is down and that kills the power to the motor. You can either try to push and hold the drawer in as you try and run the ram back up or jump out the switch for the drawer to get the ram back up.

Sorry I'm not more help. I don't see many trash compactors.

What did you end up doing to fix it?

Pull it out , flip it on its side, remove the bottom cover.Your gear may be broken.

Sorry for the delay in the reply...LOL. I did what niobrara said, the main gear was broken so replaced it.
