Maytag LSE7806ACE stacked laundry center
« on: October 28, 2011, 10:17:28 PM »
Does anyone have a service manual for this unit? The S1000 and Neptune stacked laundry centers are different.

Model LSE7806ACE

AJ,

Thanks........but.........the S1000 is quite different........the S1000 has a bunch of electronics in it that the LSE doesn't......the LSE is all mechanical as opposed to electronics......

Ok, and you did say that in your topic too.. sorry.
Been a long day, lol...

When I searched the old Maytag Library database it did not show any service manual for the LSE7806ACE.
Maybe someone else will come up with something...

No fill, no agitate, no spin.......nothing works on the washer, the dryer works fine. I'm suspecting a lid switch, check switch or the fuse associated with those. However it would be handy to know how to get to those components. A wiring diagram might be handy too, the unit has a wiring diagram for the dryer section only located on the access panel above the washer and below the dryer. Not too nice of them to leave out the wiring diagram for the washer section.

I haven't pulled the lower front washer panel yet, perhaps the washer section wiring diagram is glued to it. I'll find out Monday when I go back to look at it again.

The official fix is a new lid switch 208823, check switch 207166, and fuse 22001555. The unofficial fix is to bypass the fuse and disconnect the white wire from the check switch. The switches are located in the washer top.  The fuse is located just behind the front panel to the left.

Thanks for the info, tgoods. Monday I'll check the fuse and switches. I assume the switches are attached to the top cover of the washer and one would have to remove the top cover to get to them. Didn't look at that when I was there yesterday to see if I could figure out how to get to the switches. Didn't get that far with it as it was late.

I take a lid switch assembly and part it out. Has all 3 pieces on it.

Thanks for the input, it would be handy to have all three pieces on hand, perhaps I'll order that and go back later in the week when I've got the parts on hand.

Take extra fuses. May be a short circuit causing the failure.
