Walking Whirlpool

Top loader.  Looks like new springs first but do you need to do the pads also? Its 13 yrs old & if I grab the top of the basket it moves easily from side to side.  Also there are 2 different size springs do i need to replace both of them?  Can hear the liquid moving inside the balance ring so I think it is fine.  Any help is needed & thanks for the great video on this site so I can get into the machine.

have you removed the shipping pins? these mount under the washer and keep it from shifting during shipment.

make sure the rear self leveler isn't broken, it should work like a teeter-totter  one leg goes up when the other goes down

also grasp the inner tub at the top and try to wiggle it, the tub mount/nut might be loose

I just came back from helping my BIL Ed with his dilemma. He is 64 years old and has been a nice guy all his life (a parole officer) Last week he went out and bought a monster diesel bowtie and today he decided to get a tattoo. We thank he is going through his midlife crisis. His wife (me sister) Is an Episcopalian nun. Anyway, that's what I call Mrs Holier than thou, He hit something and smashed in his truck panel and blew out the tire(big bucks to fix) I had to go help him change the tire. I told him I would drive him home(tipsy) He insisted He was fine. I told him I was gonna rub salt up his ass if he got a DUI. LOL Captain her drive coupling has failed. The babys oh the baby's.

It has been getting worse & the wifey has been on my @ss to get a new one. If I pull on the tub it seems tight but I can move it from side to side without much trouble which leads me to the springs.  I just was wondering about the pads & if they need attention.  Checked the rear leveler & it seems okay. Guess I'll have to pull the cover & get into it.  I'll let you know what I see once inside the case.

look inside the case for oil splatter on the inside of the cabinet, these machines tend to leak oil slowly and spray it all around when spinning so it takes a long time before any hits the floor

you could have pads that are full of oil
