dead sxs ge refrig tech stumped

mod # psc23mgpbbb ser# tg4054000  only lights on nothing running display dead. replaced main control board and display board still dead. new board makes low buzz every 2 seconds. if you pull the p2 plug from the board the compressor runs and the display lights but cond motor and evap motor don't run. replug p2 all shuts off. thanks for any help

You must have gotten a bad replacement board. The one I worked on had a loose connection. I soldiered it back and the ice box came right on and started cooling down immediately.

i have a test board i installed and no change 3 board doing the same thing. i think the problem is something else but dont know what would shut down everything but the lights.

These will shut down if any of your components have a short circuit.

P2 .. is that J2 on the MotherBoard ?
If I'm looking at the same wiring diagtram..
that's the Connector for all of the Fans...
one of them may be shorted..
If not replaced, it could ruin the MotherBoard

thanks i got a copy of the wiring diagram from appliancejunk and was able to find a short in evap motor (part # WR60X10185) all is good working fine thanks.

So let me get this straight. You had a bad fan motor. So by swappin out the fan motor does the original board work?

yup unpluged condenser motor nothing changed unpluged evap motor and refrig came on. evap motor was very hot and had burn mark. got lucky and did not burn out new board in future fallow flow chart and replace board and motor.
