I think you are going to have to remove the inner tub. Looks like that nut has got to come off.

I hope to get the spanner wrench soon. Should I order the brake and drive tube now or wait till I get the tub off?

Finally got the spanner wrench, the right tool makes all the difference, got it off in less than a minute with a few hammer taps. The manual says "to expand the drive block with a screw driver ...the basket can now be lifted straight out." The basket lifts an inch or two but then stops do I need to remove the brake assembly? Pump, motor and trans are all off as per previous posts.

OK tubs out no socks or anything other than the "normal" build up of gunk. Need to check anything before removing brake and drive assembly?

Removed brake and drive assembly, some oil dripped out but other than that it looks OK to me. What would I be looking for?

The tub is tilted toward the back, mean anything? Checked the floor braces they are close to level.

Anything left to check?

Do I need to reinstall the drive and the inner tube to check if it spins easily?
