OK, Krazytech was kind enough to send me the spec sheet for my Bravos dryer in response to my earlier post
. The diagnostic results seemed to indicate "no real problem" except for one thing: the exaust temp at the dryer outlet never got any higher than about 148F when checking it on the timed mode. I only run the test for about 10 minutes and it did seem to be rising slightly but nothing to write home about. Specs say it should be 155 +- 5...would you experienced experts call those results a pass or a fail. The temp never spiked...it was 148 when the gas valve would close and about 125 when the valve opened again. The only other thing I noticed was during the moisture sensor test...I got the continuous buzz when placing a damp cloth on the sensor but the display never showed the "software revision"...does that mean anything. The exaust thermistor resistance tracked the ambient temp per spec.
I also checked the exhaust temp in the auto mode and the hottest it got was about 139 on normal and 144 on heavy duty whenever the gas valve would close.
Would these results be considered normal?
The only thing I can say is that up until Tuesday night we had no complaints with the dryer and something seems to have changed. My gut feel is that the air is not getting hot enough but if that's the case and the specs are normal how do you fix the problem. These machines were not cheapies and I surely would like for it to dry bettter than it is now. What would you
Any help will be appreciated
